Don't be an expert (just be authentic)

In today's world, we know and see people who are good and dominate a certain subject on a daily basis, these people are considered experts on the subject and gain credit and respect. However, many of them end up giving up when they come across a subject that they do not know how to explain or that is not in their notes.

In today's world, we know and see people who are good and dominate a certain subject on a daily basis, these people are considered experts on the subject and gain credit and respect. However, many of them end up giving up when they come across a subject that they do not know how to explain or that is not in their notes.

It is at this point that we can differentiate the specialist from the authentic. You may think that there is no difference between these two, but there is, I will explain below.

What is the difference between expert and authentic?

The specialist is one who only does what he has studied, is proud of it and identifies with what he does, the specialist always hides what he knows and calls it professional secrecy. But when he finds himself in a situation where someone is superior to him, he gives up.

Authentic is the one who does what he studied, but is not limited to that, goes deeper, does not identify with his area and does not hide anything, shares what he knows to bring about further improvement and innovation. There is no one taller than him, because he serves everyone.

Authentic person never forgotten and never confused, there may be thousands of copies of what he does, but that does not replace his essence.

So my friend, are you being authentic or expeciliasta?

Correct me if I'm wrong, everything I wrote here is mine and a little research, I wrote in Portuguese and translated it into English.
